Letting Go…

One of the emotionally challenges for Mothers and Fathers is to let go of their close monitoring and deep attachment of their children as they grow slowly into young adults. The children  in their late teens are also challenged to let go of their dependency of their parents as they looking for a way of being accepted as an adult in the society. This primarily means they are looking at taking their own decisions, do not want obvious advice, do not expect any forced thinking from their parents. This leads to a kind of emotional blackmail kind from both sides which can be disturbing. It is critical that parents move from a protector role to a discussion partner role and the children move from a dependent role to an independent role for both to move on in life.

Learning as a habit…

One of the traits of successful people is their habit of learning life long. Leaning continuously helps you un learn past prejudices and leads you to closer to reality on a subject. As one knows only what wants to know, it creates a barrier for further learning. One can learn from thinking out of the box, questioning your own past learning’s, and also from anyone and everyone around you. One can even learn from people you don’t seem to vibe with. A good learner sheds his ego, starts with an innocent mind and proceeds to analyse then consolidate what he has experienced. Active Learning is a worthwhile habit for all to lead a happy life.

Space and Time

Close your eyes for a few minutes and let your mind travel, visualize the size of your location on earth, the earth itself , sun, solar system, galaxy and towards the  infinity beyond and then open your eyes to see how small and insignificant you are in this vastness. Now look at expanse of infinite time before your birth and after your death and notice that your life span is so small and insignificant. It certainly starts to make sense that within this short life span which you have been given free, you can rather focus on being happy and make others happy than spreading negative thoughts and actions.

Happiness

Every human being is always looking for this emotion all his life. A Happy person finds happiness is everything what he does. A Sad person will always find ways to be sad. The choice is yours.

The trick is to increase the amount of time in your day to be happy. Sadness will find you but you need not seek it. If it finds you, delve on it for as short a time as possible and also look for happiness in that sadness.

Birth and Death

What we have is the time between our birth and death of which we need to sleep for one-third of it. We have also been given a free body which has its own life and death, a free mind to store and analyse what we experience and emotions which we can use for making ourselves happy and then sharing it to others around us. The body dies, memories die, mind also dies along with your death. You may want to maximise the time when you are happy during your life. A person who is able to keep himself happy under all circumstances is the most happiest person on earth.

Reacting to Anger…

To get angry is human but different people react in different ways when they get angry. Some vent their feelings talking to themselves or anyone near by to remove it. Words in anger are mostly out of sync and can cause more damage. Some people react violently and become physical against the source of anger. Some get stressed, absorb it through their own system and lead themselves into ill health. Some become silent, calm down, understand the reasons and find a way out to eliminate it for the moment and also make positive changes for the future. The choice is yours but your genes and attitude in life also influence you.
