G Partharsarathy

G Partharsarathy

Born on 3rd May 1913, he did his Intermediate  in Madras Christian college. He lives an honest, disciplined, active, content and cheerful life. He has lived through British India and independent India and has done his duty through all the wars in the central government as a civilian. He retired in 1971 after 35 years of diligent and well appreciated service.

He was a keen hockey player in his youth and an active scout leader. He practices the motto of helping at least one person every day which he imbibed from the scout movement. This is embedded is his daily things to do list and he practices it with joy and focus.

He took up Homeopathy in his 50’s, became a registered medical practitioner and has used it to serve the poor. He himself believes his good health is because he has primarily used it for his own health.

He loves to laugh and make others laugh.

He ensured all his financial savings were utilized for his children’s education even after his retirement.

His religion is to be good to others even if the other are in the wrong. He visits temples, churches to show his gratitude, to give to the less privileged and enjoy the smile of happiness on their faces.

He respects his body, nurtures it with good exercises, has a balanced need based diet and keeps track of it closely.

His mind is always active and alert, reading, watching and listening carefully to know more and more every day.

His spiritual practice is to do whatever he can to make others happy.

He is a keen observer of his 5 children, their spouses, grand children, great grand children, relatives, friends, well wishers and always finding a way to advice them or be of help to them.

We are all blessed to have him with us here at home and be in touch with this great human being. He is a living example of how simplicity, contentment and generosity can be one’s greatest assets to lead a happy and joyful life.

We wish a happy and peaceful 100th birthday and a great year ahead.

    CK,
You and your siblings are indeed a fortunate lot to have such a wonderful person as your father. I am happy to note that he has bounced back from his recent illness and is celebrating a century today! Please convey my greetings and pranams to him on this happy occassion. I hope the entire family of Mr. Parthasarathy are here to celebrate this once-in-a-life-time function.

I hope we will be able to meet in the near future and you will take me to your home to meet up with your father.
