Behaviour on a flight…

I was on a flight recently and came across a bunch of passengers who were having a good time. Few of them joined together,  were speaking loudly, enjoying their own jokes and were oblivious of other passengers in the flight. What they were ignorant of is that their behaviour was disturbing all the passengers around them. It was a display of selfishness to pursue their own happiness. It is expected that a person enjoys himself but ensures that it is not at a cost of others. I am sure many passengers were angry, disturbed and helpless. One should be always aware of the harm one may cause knowingly or unknowingly to their surroundings.

I see similar things happening all the time, and I agree, it’s most annoying. These fellows are all educated, fairly well-off, perhaps in high positions in the organizations. They will get in, push other bags out of the way in the overhead baggage bins to keep their bags (sometime 2 bags when only 1 is allowed as hand baggage), sit in their seats and get on to their mobile, talk loudly so that everyone can hear how important he is, give 2 hoots for the information coming out of the Public Address System (Oh, I’ve flown zillions of time; who wants to listen) and wont fasten the seat belt unless told to. Once airborne, he’ll either fish out his laptop from the baggage bin, disturbing passengers in the centre and aisle seats, then, when the food trolleys are in the aisle, he wants to go to the toilet and thereby causing inconvenience to the hostesses, then come back and demand for his food tray which he missed out when he was in the john. Then there are those sick ones who like to get noticed with their thunderous laughs, another symbol of showing they are important.
And these are the chaps who do the cocktail circuit and complain about how reckless bus drivers are, how auto guys fleece the public, how law and order has deteriorated because of an inept and corrupt government, how ridiculously high food prices have escalated.
This educated crowd makes we want to puke.
